This is an introductory level general biology course designed to meet the needs of a non-biology major. Topics covered include an introduction to the process of science, the chemistry of living things and the cell, information flow exchange and storage, evolution and the diversity and function of living things, the major systems of the human body, ecology conservation biology and an understanding of the role of science in society. Biology majors cannot use this course to fulfill a major elective or the Biology Core requirement.
