This course introduces students to the techniques of writing poetry, but at an advanced level and is designed for the student pursuing additional instruction in the discipline. Students study the elements of poetry, including imagery, rhyme, meter, and stanza form. Students read a variety of poems as models and assemble their own portfolio of original work.
