This course is an introduction to dance improvisation. Methods of accessing authentic movement as well as an understanding of how to develop and perform an improvisation score will be addressed. There will be an emphasis on helping the student to find their individual creative voice through movement.
This course should be taken as a freshman and completed before a student can take DAN 350 or DAN 430.
