General Education Curriculum

Must include either HIS 111 and HIS 112, or HIS 120 and HIS 121.

All candidates for the Bachelor of Arts degree in the School of Arts and Humanities must present at least 42 credit hours at the 300- or 400-level for graduation. These courses may be taken to satisfy major, minor, general education, and/or elective requirements.

It is strongly suggested that history majors planning to pursue graduate study in history enroll in at least four semesters of foreign language.  Which foreign language should be determined by the anticipated historical focus during graduate study.  History majors will prepare a portfolio (a notebook) containing a resume and four term papers form 300- or 400-level courses; which will be submitted to their academic advisors for review during hte final semester of the senior year.
